SWIFT Proposed Rules Comment Period Draws to a Close
On November 5, 2013, Texas voters approved Proposition 6, creating the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT) and the State Water Implementation Revenue Fund for Texas (SWIRFT), which reallocated 2 billion dollars from the rainy fund to support the implementation of the State Water Plan. The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) published draft rules for public comment on June 26. The draft rules explain the proposed rating system for projects which request funding from the TWDB SWIFT funds.
