The Center of Excellence for Energy Technology (CEET) on Tarrant County College’s South Campus has earned LEED® Platinum certification from the U.S Green Building Council, the organization's highest rating for environmental sustainability and a first for Freese and Nichols. CEET is one of only two non-residential structures in Tarrant County to receive this distinction and one of six higher education structures in Texas.

Freese and Nichols C​EO Bob Pence hailed the new Center of Excellence for Energy Technology at Tarrant County College as a place where students will see best practices all around them. Bob spoke at the Center’s dedication Friday, September 25, joining public and College officials in a ribbon-cutting, building tours and dedication of a solar-powered charging station donated by Reliant/NRG.

Freese and Nichols is the architect of record for the project and designed the facility in partnership with BNIM.
