Texas Municipal League Spotlights Texas Flood Plan

The March issue of Texas Town & City, the Texas Municipal League’s monthly magazine, features guidance for cities on Texas’ new flood planning process.

The Texas Water Development Board is finalizing rules for allocating an initial $793 million in new state funding for grants to communities that otherwise could not afford to make flood-related repairs or build mitigation infrastructure. The article was authored by City of Denton Floodplain Administrator Noreen Housewright, along with Freese and Nichols North Texas Stormwater Group Manager Scott Hubley and Senior Advisor Chris Johnson.
