Freese and Nichols adds Kyle Jung to Expand Municipal Relationships in Southeast Texas

Kyle Jung is bringing his experience strengthening relationships with municipalities to our Freese and Nichols client development team.
For 30 years, he’s worked in the public sector for the Texas Municipal League and as City Manager for the City of Manvel. Kyle’s expertise provides him with an understanding of City operations and relationships with Texas municipalities that position him with skills for strengthening existing client partnerships. He is an established resource for city managers seeking support on a wide range of public sector projects, including long-range planning, utility design/construction, drainage improvements, utility line extensions, and construction management.
“I now have the opportunity to be on the other side, introducing people who may not have interacted with Freese and Nichols to the expertise the firm brings to municipal projects,” Kyle said. “I like that the company works on behalf of cities, and that’s one of the main reasons I’m excited about this opportunity.”
Kyle has overseen city- and state-level partnerships and relationships with clients, understands the municipal-client perspective and has a vast knowledge of how to partner with individuals across Texas.
“I’ve known him personally for almost 10 years,” said Richard Weatherly, Freese and Nichols’ Divisional Business Development Lead in Houston. “During that time, I was always impressed with Kyle’s ability to handle difficult issues and remain focused strategically on the goals of the community.”
Kyle is based in our Pearland, Texas office and works with clients in the Houston area and Louisiana.
Kyle earned his bachelor’s degree in history from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas, and his master’s degree in public administration from Texas Tech University.
