Freese and Nichols Earns “Outstanding” Award from SAME Mobile Post

Freese and Nichols, Inc. was recently awarded 2022 “Outstanding Sustaining Firm – Small” by the Society of Military Engineers (SAME) Mobile Post. Kiara Horton, Environmental/Coastal Services, New Orleans, accepted the award at the SAME Holiday Social in December. This award recognizes the firm as a continued sustaining member and supporter for the post where our staff have been involved in a variety of ways, including the role of Post Treasurer, shared by Nina Reins, Kiara Horton and Matt Salmon; luncheon presenter, taken on by Ryan Fikes and other staff members; and volunteer or attendee at several post events from a variety of team members.

2022 was significant for Freese and Nichols in the Mobile District – not only were the firm’s efforts recognized by the post with this award, but it was also the first year the firm won a prime contract with USACE Mobile District, as part of a joint venture, to support Water and Wastewater Technical Center of Expertise on national and international projects.
