Tricia Hatley, PE

Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President for Operations

Taking on the role of Chief Strategy Officer in 2026, Tricia Hatley leads strategic planning, including defining our goals and focus areas and implementing strategic initiatives. She also oversees all offices in our Western Gulf Coast and Southeast United States regions, an area that covers Virginia south to Florida and the Houston metropolitan area east across southern Louisiana.

Trish joined Freese and Nichols in 1993 and was named Executive Vice President for Operations in 2021 after serving in a succession of leadership positions during a career spanning more than three decades. She also serves on the firm’s Board of Directors and chairs our Governance and Nominating Committee and Strategic Planning Committee. Trish’s extensive community and professional involvement includes serving as President of the National Society of Professional Engineers in 2020-21. She is currently chair of the National MATHCOUNTS Foundation Board of Directors. She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Oklahoma State University.
