Transportation Planner Eddie Haas Named to 10th Coppell P&Z Commission Term

Eddie Haas, a Vice President/Principal and Senior Planner for Transportation and Urban Planning at Freese and Nichols, has been appointed to his 10th term on the City of Coppell Planning and Zoning Commission. Eddie currently chairs the Commission and has been a member since 2005. His new term runs through 2027.

Eddie specializes in assisting municipalities develop long-term traffic and land-use solutions. He is experienced in developing policy-oriented land-use plans, demographic analyses, multimodal transportation systems, corridor plans and impact fee systems.

The Planning and Zoning Commission serves as the recommending body to the Coppell City Council on land-use matters, zoning requests, development applications, ordinance updates, the City’s Comprehensive Plan and issues related to the physical development of the community.

In addition to his long service on the Commission, Eddie has contributed to several key city initiatives, including Vision 2040Vision 2030, the 2030 Comprehensive Plan, the 2016 Bike and Trail Plan and the Infrastructure Bond Committee.
