Ardita Dushi, Federal Program Manager, Dallas, was installed in January as the 2023 President of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Fort Worth Post. SAME is a premier professional engineering association that brings public and private industry professionals in the architecture, engineering, construction, environmental and facility management fields together, providing them with training, networking and development opportunities to address and resolve issues regarding challenges to national infrastructure.

The SAME Fort Worth Post board officers are sworn in, including Ardita Dushi, far right, and Christine Jacoby, fourth from right.

Ardita has been an active member of SAME since 2010 and has been serving in the Fort Worth Post for more than six years in several roles such as president elect, programs VP, younger members VP, and student chapter outreach. She was recognized as the Young Member of the Year in 2017 and 2018.

In her new role as Post President, Ardita looks forward to contributing to SAME’s mission to inspire future engineers and leaders, providing supportive programs and opportunities that encourage engagement between government and industry, and growing the student chapter organization at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Also serving in leadership roles for the Fort Worth Post are Freese and Nichols’ team members Christine Jacoby, 2nd Vice President/Programs Chair; Vimal Nair, Committee Lead for K-12 Outreach and Student Chapter; and Brad Endres, Committee Lead for STEM.
