Brooke Paup Appointed, Peter Lake Named New Chairman of TWDB

Gov. Greg Abbott has named Peter Lake chairman of the Texas Water Development Board and appointed Brooke Paup to the board. 

Peter, who has served on the board since 2015, is the former head of business development at Lake Ronel Oil Company, was director of special projects for VantageCap Partners and worked as director of research at Gambit Trading. Peter’s term will expire Feb. 1, 2021.

Brooke has served as the director of legislative affairs for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts for four years and is the former deputy division chief of intergovernmental relations and special assistant for policy and research for the Office of the Attorney General. There she worked on legislative issues, special litigation and public finance, including the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT) and the State Water Implementation Revenue Fund for Texas (SWIRFT.) Brooke’s term will expire Feb. 1, 2019.

The next board meeting will be Thursday, March 1.
