Colton Fisher Named ASCE Fort Worth Young Engineer of the Year

Congratulations to Colton Fisher, Transportation Project Manager, Fort Worth, who has been named 2024 Edmund Friedman Young Engineer of the Year by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) – Fort Worth Branch.

The award recognizes young engineers who have made outstanding contributions to the civil engineering profession and their communities during the early years of their careers.

Colton has been involved in ASCE for almost 10 years. He spent seven years in the Austin branch serving in various roles before moving to Fort Worth in 2021 where he quickly became involved in the Fort Worth Branch. He has served as the Special Events Chair where he planned and coordinated a conference attended by approximately 350 engineers throughout Dallas/Fort Worth and is now serving as the Secretary.

Professionally, Colton’s work includes leading multi-disciplinary design teams and subconsultants on roadway and pedestrian-related projects for cities, counties, and the Texas Department of Transportation. His project design experience combines a total of $620 million in construction costs and his bond planning experience accounts for approximately $500 million in future construction projects.

Colton is an active member of the community with experience in Foster Care, Meals on Wheels and volunteering at his church. Colton enjoys giving back to those in need.
