Freese and Nichols Names Alan Hutson As New Central Plains Division Manager

Freese and Nichols Vice President/Principal Alan Hutson, PE, is joining the firm’s Oklahoma City office as Central Plains Division Manager to lead the continued diversification of services for state and local clients in Oklahoma and the surrounding region.

Alan is a highly experienced leader of large water and wastewater transmission and utilities projects with particular expertise in pump stations, tunneling and sustainable infrastructure design. He has designed or managed more than $800 million in conveyance projects, including intake pump stations, booster pump stations, pipeline condition assessments, distribution piping systems and large transmission pipelines.

“Alan brings to our FNI Oklahoma team strong technical skills, team-building talents and familiarity with our communities, showing our continued commitment to this region,” Freese and Nichols Executive Vice President Tricia Hatley said. “He has deep personal ties to Oklahoma — having been married here and spending time here for both work and family — so he knows the lay of the land.”

Alan formally transitions to his new role in January but already has moved from Houston to the Oklahoma City area. Tricia, who has been serving as Central Plains Division Manager, will continue to be based in Oklahoma and focus on overseeing the firm’s national offices across the Southeast U.S.

Alan is a licensed Professional Engineer and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Water Works Association and Underground Construction Technology Association.
