The standards set by the AWWA are crucial in ensuring the safety, reliability, and sustainability of water systems globally. These standards cover a wide range of aspects, including water quality, infrastructure design, treatment processes, and operational practices. By establishing these guidelines, the AWWA plays a pivotal role in promoting best practices and innovation within the water industry.
Scott has been part of the FNI team for over 26 years and has managed or designed more than 250 miles of water and wastewater large-diameter pipelines. A nationally recognized specialist, he is also a presenter for the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Water Environment Association and NACE/AMPP. As chair, Scott will serve a minimum five years and ensure the timely development of new and revised AWWA standards and related publications under the committee’s umbrella.
