Investing In Our Communities: Trooper Smith Completes Leadership Cobb Program

Congratulations to Georgia/Florida Division Manager Trooper Smith, PE, on graduating from Leadership Cobb.

Trooper was one of 49 participants in the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce’s yearlong program, which raises awareness of the community’s issues, resources and needs. Trooper was also voted by his class as the Spirit Award Winner.

The class accomplished this year’s theme of “Lean In, Reach Out” by volunteering and taking part in leadership activities across the area, including Boys and Girls Club, City of Refuge, MUST Ministries, Dobbins Air Reserve Base Family Day and Ser Familia.

The program also introduces the leaders to the economic, political, educational and social factors in Cobb County. Topics they’ve covered include armed forces, arts and recreation, economic development, education, health, leadership training, mentoring, politics, public safety, regionalism and social services.

Trooper, who is based in our Atlanta office, is a Freese and Nichols Vice President and an experienced project manager for municipal water, wastewater and reuse systems. He also served as a U.S. Army Engineer and earned a Bronze Star in Iraq.
