The Texas Water Development Board, which is overseeing applications for grants and loans under the new Flood Infrastructure Fund to finance for flood control, flood mitigation, and drainage projects, now is providing a series of on-demand web presentations on Flood Mitigation Funding that are available on the TWDB website.

The first one, “The Flood Infrastructure Fund Intended Use Plan,” is available now.

The board expects to post more presentations soon, including:

  • How to complete an abridged application for the new flood financial assistance program
  • The TWDB’s new flood science and planning efforts
  • The Flood Mitigation Assistance grant program

Details about FIF funding and eligibility are on the TWDB website’s FIF page. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on May 14.

You can also learn more about the program and how we can help from our blog post, New Financial Program Available for Texas Communities.
