Wearing Blue for Flood Awareness Week
Freese and Nichols offices across Texas wore blue to call attention to Flood Awareness Week.
Gov. Greg Abbott set aside May 20-24 as Texas marks the fourth anniversary of the Memorial Day flooding in 2015 and the events of Hurricane Harvey in 2017.
He encouraged people to respect the power of water.
“It is crucial that Texans understand and respect the power of water. Planning and preparing are the keys to reducing the loss of life and property,” the proclamation reads.
